On this tiny island, there used to be a ferry terminal with a ferry connecting the two islands Vestvågøy and Flakstadøy. When the underwater tunnel, Nappstraumstunnelen, was built in 1990 the terminal became obsolete, and new possibilites arose. Since 2020 the island has been developed as an area for holiday homes. Each of the cabins have direct access to the quays and unobstructed views in all directions.
