The building's placement was carefully considered to maximize sunlight exposure during the summer months, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for visitors. The simple design of the Gapahuk was intentionally chosen to allow local construction students to participate in its construction, fostering a sense of community, ownership and involvement.
