Service Harbour
Ballstad Service Harbour is a major expansion project that aims to strengthen the position of Ballstad as a leading fishing harbor in Lofoten. The new masterplan will enable the harbor to accommodate larger vessels and provide essential services to the local fishing industry.
The project's centerpiece is the construction of a new and larger ship hall, allowing Ballstad Slip to meet the growing demand for ship repair and maintenance services. Additionally, the acquisition of a large-scale boatlift will provide the harbor with the flexibility needed to handle a variety of vessel sizes, ensuring its continued relevance in the rapidly evolving maritime industry.
The masterplan prioritizes the harmonious integration of large-scale industrial structures into the small-scale historic surroundings of Ballstad. This approach ensures that the expansion project respects the village's character and contributes to its overall development.
